One of my absolute favorite high-score chasing games is Pako - Car Chase Simulator [$0.99] from Tree Men Games. Released in August of last year, Pako sets you loose in a variety of different environments and in a variety of different vehicles with one main goal in mind: don't get caught! Your brakes are on the fritz and the cops are chasing you, so you must dodge obstacles at all cost and you're score is based on the amount of time you can survive in each level before inevitably crashing into something. The next map is a launchpad for a rocket ship, and apparently launching rockets into space is some pretty high security stuff because this map is littered with tanks that are out to get you. You get to drive around in a freaking lunar rover while UFOs blast at you with lasers. It's amazing. Here's a trailer showing off all this new stuff.
As I said before, Tree Men Games have been awesome about keeping Pako updated with new content over the past year. In addition to these 3 new levels, they've also added things like a hockey rink where you can drive around on a Zamboni, an airport level where you start out on foot and can then enter any number of vehicles including an airplane, and a destruction derby-style arena where you can choose from 4 different vehicles to enter with as you avoid tons of pursuing cop cars as well as other derby participants. Truly Pako is the gift that keeps on giving, as I've had countless laugh out loud m...
