Roughly 300 staff are set to be cut at Sega as the company undergoes massive restructuring, it was revealed today.
Almost half of the job losses will be focussed on Sega of America, and the company's headquarters will be moved from San Francisco to Southern California. A smaller number of job losses will hit Sega of Europe.
The downsizing will also mark a move away from home console releases, and Sega will instead focus its efforts on the mobile and online PC markets. No upcoming game releases will be affected, however. This is an excerpt from the full story which was originally featured on gamrReview, read the full version here - Sega Announces Mass Lay-offs, Shift from Consoles to Mobile and Online - News
