Loot Crate and similar “crate” services have been catching on as of late, and it looks like Nintendo may be getting into the mix. According to MVC, Nintendo is creating “N-Box”, which will be an alternative to the crate services.
The “N-Box” will consist of “toys, clothes and other merchandise inspired by and branded with Nintendo icons such as Mario, Zelda and Pokémon.” The subscriptions will last 3, 6, or 12 month plan. No indication of pricing was given, or country that these will be featured in, as MVC is a UK publication.
Chalk this up as a rumor for now, but this could be a very interesting avenue for Nintendo to travel. Would you be interested in the “N-Box”" Let us know in the comments.
