According to the latest financial data from Nintendo, the Wii U has surpassed the 10 million mark in sales. The console sold .47 million units in the last three months, bringing the console’s total sales to roughly 10.1 million.
The 3DS, though performing better than the Wii U, had a relatively soft quarter. The handheld sold just 1.01 million units in the last three months. This is primarily due to the lack of new releases for the handheld, and the fact that sales were frontloaded this year with the release of the New 3DS and New 3DS XL.
Overall, Nintendo had a very good first quarter, taking in more than $60 million in profit!
