Players have revealed that codes for the first phase of the Gran Turismo Sport Closed Beta are now being sent out, so be sure to check your emails/PSN Notifications to see if you received one. Phase 1 of the beta is only available in the United States, and the beta file is a 14.2GB download.
Sign ups for the beta in the US are currently closed, but those in Europe still appear to be able to sign up for Phase 2, which will happen in the future.
If you’re accepted into the Closed Beta, which starts today, you’ll find a rotating selection of cars and tracks each day to race online against others on. “The introduction of Sportsmanship Rating (tracks a player?s behavior and manners on-track) and Driver Rating (represents the overall speed of the player and how well they perform in races) will ensure those that race online will be equally matched, naturally creating a balanced group of competitive drivers for every race,” Polyphony Digital President Kazunori Yamauchi said earlier this month.
Servers for the Closed Beta will only be open during specific times across the day.
Gran Turismo Sport releases in 2017 for PlayStation 4.
