Ubisoft has announced that Operation Velvet Shell, the first major content update for Year 2, will come to Rainbow Six Siege on February 7 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
In addition to two Operators of the Spanish Grupo Especial de Operaciones (G.E.O.), Operation Velvet Shell includes Coastline, a new multiplayer map set on the rocky shores of Ibizi in Spain that will be available in both PvP and PvE.
“Get ready for an effervescent night ambiance with neon lights of bars and open-air parties, which Ibiza is famous for. Daytime is a hazy afternoon on a hot summer day after a long night out,” the Coastline description adds.
Expect more Operation Velvet Shell details and gameplay to become available this weekend.
If you’ve yet to play Rainbow Six Siege, there will be a Free Weekend from February 2 to February 5 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Ubisoft says, “Play now Rainbow Six Siege for free from February [2nd] to 5th. Get access to the full experience and invite your friends to play with you. Your in game progression will saved if you buy the game.”
